We are thrilled to share some exciting news from Beyond the Bell! Our CEO, J. Andrew Waugh, has been selected to join the Royal Thai Scholars Fellowship at Brewster Academy this summer. This prestigious opportunity will see Andrew working closely with Thailand’s top high school graduates, who are preparing for their academic journeys at U.S. boarding schools.

The Royal Thai Scholars Program is a transformative summer experience designed to support Thai students as they prepare for postgraduate education in the United States. Throughout the program, students receive specialized instruction in academic writing, TOEFL preparation, and American culture to ensure they are academically and socially prepared for their time at U.S. boarding schools.

Andrew will serve as a mentor, instructor, and residential supervisor, assisting students with their writing skills, helping them navigate the intricacies of American culture, and supporting them through their transition to life in the U.S. His work will involve not only classroom instruction but also guiding small group discussions, overseeing recreational activities, and contributing to students’ overall development.

With experience in boarding schools, student engagement, and leadership development, Andrew is perfectly suited to this role. His hands-on work will have a significant impact on these scholars as they prepare for the next chapter of their academic journeys.
